You have a blog for your business that’s strengthened customer relationships and added some traffic to your site- wonderful! Things are always easy in the beginning; you have so many ideas to get on that blog and helpful tips to dish out, while always relating back to what it is your business does. But then there comes a point when the content seems to be a bit harder to scrape up.
Here are three tips for coming up with blog content on those not so creative days:
Look to the news and pop culture.
The nice thing about news is that it’s always new. You can relate your business back to just about anything. Like how certain political policies will affect your company, or say you make jewelry, what you think of the latest celeb sighting’s jewelry of choice.
Have a brain storming session.
If you are fortunate enough to have a team that works on your various blog posts, consult them. Other writers will know what it is you need in terms of inspiration. If not, talk to anyone on in the office. Ask their opinion on what they think customers would like to read about. Sometimes all you need is another person’s thoughts to get your creative wheels turning.
Include guest posts.
Have companies you work with write up a post to put on your blog every so often. It’s a great way to add variety to your posts and a new perspective. It’s also a good way to build relationships with outside businesses.
