Can I tell you a secret?
I love to nerd out about the morning rituals of the world’s most brilliant people.
I gobble up every article and book I can about them.
For example, if you asked me, I could tell you Oprah gets up at 5:30 AM every morning, works out, and is in her makeup chair by 7:30 AM.
I could also tell you that Arianna Huffington begins with yoga and meditation.
And Beethoven started his day by counting 60 beans for his coffee.
And Steve Jobs stood in front of the mirror first thing every morning and ask himself: “If today was the last day of my life, would I be happy with what I’m about to do today?”
Morning rituals are so fascinating to me because they offer an unprecedented window into the way extraordinary human beings live their lives, and embody their values (consciously or otherwise).
Whether you begin your day before the sun or closer to noon, your ritual (or routine, whatever you choose to call it) sets the tone for everything else you do — and I find the more intentional you are about it? The more satisfaction you’ll experience in every day of your life.
That’s why I was so excited to hear about two of my dear friend Jennifer Kem’s morning ritual!
