By “engaged,” I mean a list packed with people eager to learn more about what you do, who want to stay updated on what’s going on in your corner of the web, and who, ultimately, will become your paying clients.
When I started She Takes on the World as a wee blog back in 2008 things were so different than they are now. The gospel of “build your list!” had yet to be preached everywhere.
In today’s saturated market, it can be harder to stand out, especially when you’re just starting and don’t have years of community building under your belt, but it’s still completely possible – and necessary for your business growth. Remember: there are people out there who may be needing your voice and message more than they even realize.
