Eat Your Way to a Happier, More Productive Day

STOTW_SHE_AnthonyBalduzzi

Welcome to the 5th and final episode of Superhuman Entrepreneur, a video series on She Takes on the World TV where I’m interviewing my fantasy team of doctors who help me stay energized and healthy – mind, body, and soul – even when things are crazy in my business.

(Haven’t checked out the rest of the series? You can watch parts 1, 2, 3, and 4 under their respective links.)

For this last episode, we’re joined by Dr. Anthony Balduzzi, a good friend of mine who has degrees in neuroscience and nutrition.

Alongside being a talented doctor, he’s also an entrepreneur himself, and founder of the Fit Father Project. Dr. Anthony introduced me to some pretty cool health practices, including the benefits of intermittent fasting — basically the practice of reserving your food consumption for a certain window of time.

(Intermittent fasting has been a minor miracle for my own health, and we’ll be talking a bit about a bit in this episode!)

He also offers some great insights on the right right way to make juices and smoothies, and how timing your eating and drinking can skyrocket your productivity.

Dr. Anthony was also recently in a skiing accident that broke both his arm, and his leg. He’s learned some incredible lessons on his journey to healing, and the wisdom he shares is a game-changer for those of anyone feeling stressed out by their own health challenges.

So get ready to take notes on today’s video, because we’re doing a deep dive into nutrition. You’ll learn some great tips that will help you eat your way to better focus, more energy, and clarity; just by being mindful of what you eat, when. So jump in!

And don’t forget!

To build on what you’ll learn throughout this series, I’ve created a downloadable “Superhuman Entrepreneur” journal designed to help you mindfully move through each day, by tracking your daily health and nourishment practices.

The goal? To help you create greater alignment — mind, body, and soul — with your heart’s intentions every step of the way. This journal is my free gift to you for being a subscriber, just because we love ya. <3

Ridiculously inspiring! Loved having some clarity around the fasting…. I find that when I listen to my body, I tend to fall into naturally healthy patterns like these automatically; it was reassuring to hear that I’m not unwittingly doing some kind of damage by fasting for those longer periods, and that my preferred fluids are ‘allowed’. :)

I especially loved hearing his spiritual take on accepting the body where it is at currently, and honoring that. Being that I specialize in empowering people with truth-based knowledge, uncovering hidden health truths – (seeing through the mainstream media – to discerning what is truly healthy), I sometimes have a tendency to ‘beat myself up’ when I get sick… (Currently been hit with the Spring season’s strain of flu!) I tell myself, “Seriously? With my lifestyle – Why am I getting sick at all?” But there is another side to illness – and it can be very cleansing. It also causes us to slow down and reassess. And being that we’re all continual learners, it enables us to grow & expand that much more based on these experiences – especially as we evolve and our needs change over time.

I admire the fact that you are incorporating self-care into your entrepreneurial teachings – as it’s probably more important than any other lessons. When our health is at the forefront, the rest will fall into place. More specific biz-guidance can be beneficial, but without our overall health – what do we really have going for us? Too often, people don’t often think about it unless it’s already ‘broken’. But we can truly fuel ourselves on a daily basis – making our experience of life that much more enjoyable & profound – including our business ventures!

    Thanks for this!

Thank you so much for this! Recently (past few years) I’ve been putting more emphasis on my health because it truly affects business performance. When we fail to take of ourselves we crash and burn. (I learned this the hard way). Being out of commission is no good.
My husband and I were just talking about fasting and doing some juice cleanses for extra clarity and just giving our bodies a break from all the toxins. I appreciate this interview- thanks so much!

I love this! I’m going to try it. I never eat past 7pm, so I can start eating at 11am and get my 16 hour fast pretty easily, right? This feels really good.
I’ve actually been burned out on breakfast, even though it used to be my favorite meal of the day, so this is perfect timing.
Thank you so much for sharing!
