find your nicheFiguring out your niche is one of the toughest things when you’re starting a business, but it’s also one of the most important things to figure out before you launch a product or service. Your niche market can make you or break you as an entrepreneur.

How do you find your niche? It starts with creating a customer profile, and on today’s episode of She Takes on the World TV we’re going to play a little game of 20 Questions to help you do just that.

So take out a pen and paper, or open a new note on your computer or tablet, and press “play” to get started.

Now I’d love to hear from you: Declare your niche market in a comment below and let me know what you named your perfect customer.

P.S. We go in-depth on defining your niche, and creating and marketing products for your perfect customer in WE Mastermind. WE Mastermind is the exclusive mastermind program for women entrepreneurs that I co-host with Natalie Sisson, and we’ll be back for our third year of the program this May. Thank you Natalie. A really great simple list of questions to clearly identify your customer. I had a fair idea who I was targeting, but I’ve never seen such a simple way of naming them :)

Hi Jeff, I’m seeing it here. It shouldn’t be missing. It’s embedded from YouTube so the computer/device you were accessing the page from may not have displayed the video. Let me know if you’re still not able see it.

Best wishes, Tod

    Hi Natalie,

Thanks so much for the practical, tangible support. I have been going in too many directions and your questions helped me to narrow down to 2 distinctly different niches in my new coaching career.

I believe both niches are viable and that I have unique experience and expertise in both. I imagine that eventually one of them will naturally float to the top as my primary focus, although I have no idea which one. Then again I may be surprised to have a niche discover me. I am told this is common.

I would like to explore marketing to both niches. Could you offer me any advice in regards to promoting these simultaneously?

    Hey Natalie,

Thank you for the refreshing questions. And cool idea of naming this person to make it more real for you!

    Best,
    Galina
